Sharing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, explained he just recently felt ready to share openly about his deep grief.

"Enough time has elapsed that I can finally articulate my loss into words," posted Elwes, noting that his initial encounter with Reiner made him fall in love. "When we commenced sharing more moments together I knew this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor uploaded never-before-seen clips from the film, adding that he cannot recall "one day without mirth".

"The movie is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Principles that Rob held dear. Which is among the many reasons he was the best person to helm it," Elwes expressed.

He additionally honored Michele Reiner, stating: "To say that they were a incredible duo would be an oversimplification. My heart still pangs every time I remember you." He concluded with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Friend and Collaborator

In a different essay, revered director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the main character.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked beautifully with his co-stars, and he grasped the human predicament of his character," Scorsese noted.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Sealed

This week, a Los Angeles judge ruled to bar the release of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, at the request from the local authorities.

A court order placed a embargo on the cases to restrict the public release of "related notes, evidence and photographs" pertaining to the probe.

The Medical Examiner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the result of murder, with a record citing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".
